| Features | Just 40 minutes away by train from Taipei city, Keelung is located on the northeastern
corner of the island. Keelung is home to Taiwan’s 3rd largest port. The largest is in
Kaohsiung, followed by Taichung.
Being a major port city, Keelung has an abundance of 24 hour supermarkets, laundromats, restaurants, internet cafes, etc. The market along Keelung Harbor is famous for it’s fresh seafood. The northeast skyline of Keelung is dominated by the huge white statue of Kwan Yin, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. The temple and statue is accessible through Chungcheng Park. Keelung is also just 10 kilometers away from Yehliu Park, which is famous for it’s bizarre, jagged rock formations. The school is just 30 minutes away from the beach and 10 minutes away from downtown Keelung. It is a well known Catholic school in a huge university sized campus. The school comprises of a kindergarten, elementary and high school. |
